Personally I would think, if one had the talent and opportunity which Liu has, and knowing what a gold medal will bring him & the country he represent, one will certainly do whatever is necessary to accomplish that. Just think of the those $,$$$,$$$,$$$ he will be making after winning the gold ＩＮ ＦＲＯＮＴ of hundreds of millions of his compatriots, in the biggest sports event ever held in China. And if you still have problem to comprehend or imagine of that, then just think of this as in the old time --- 剛中了狀元的衣錦還歸， 還有比這更美妙的嗎？ Furthermore, Liu is young, after winning a gold in the Beijing Olympic he can have all his "tender moment" he wish to have, otherwise, there might not be any girl there for him to have with - and you know how practical (aka "materialistic") are those "Shanghai-nese" 【：）】 girls are nowadays，right？

I absolutely agree - of the first two paragraphs. But what is "CPC" - did you mean CCP? Yes, they all will continue to improve, but that is because of the demands by the Chinese people, not because of the "urge" by those foreign nations - which I believe they are mostly up to something no good anyway.
