大學田徑像片 (1)
田徑比賽的觀眾少，掌聲也小。同美式足球賽、籃球賽相比，在觀眾人數、情緒甚至在門票價格上都不可同日而語。但是我更喜歡田徑賽。
田徑的最大魅力在於︰玩田徑的人都是自找苦吃。這一條就讓人佩服。「坐在樹蔭下吃冰棒舒服，我沒請你們來。」這是我上大學時田徑教練訓隊員的口頭禪。誰都知道舒舒服服地難成氣候，但在現實中鮮有人知難而上。這個「難」是在田徑訓練、比賽中身體所承受的痛苦。

My family is one of the track fan, but I completely agree with your opinion that track is not a popular sport in the United States. My daughter who is a high school student; she joins the school track team, and she loves it. Since she loves track so much, we event took her to the track open meet. That was so much fun. I hope she will continue to participate in track when she goes to college.
