You need to straighten out one one error so as not to confuse the reader. According to MLB, San Jose technically is San Francisco Giants' territory, so Oakland A's cannot move to San Jose, period. A's plan to move south, not to San Jose, but to Fremont, which is considered East Bay, not South Bay. True, Fremont is at the southern end of A's territory (Alameda County). Obviously, they are trying to attract more San Jose and surrounding cities' fan base, but they will never be identified as a San Jose sport teams. MLB would not allow that without the owners agreeing to redraw the territorial map.

Thanks for adding facts of territorial right in the MLB.
The intention of this article is to show the growth of a city in its pursuit of professional sports and not to explore the politics of acquiring a franchise.
Money is in the center of any politics which includes sports. Al Davis has demonstrated that rules can be broken or changed when he moved the Raiders out of Oakland without the approval of the majority of owners.

I am talking about your statement:
That's incorrect. There has never any municipal effort to lure A's to San Jose. I believe you confuse one investor's attempt to buy A's as San Jose's effort to lure A's.
Oakland A's owner used to the the Haas family. When the Haas family decided to sell A's, there were several potential buyers, including one who wanted to move it to San Jose. Once that investor found out San Jose is in Giants' territory, that was the end of the story. There were never any municipal efforts, nor "不斷向屋崙..A's 隊招手. Your article talks about San Jose's efforts, but you used owners intent (like Al Davis) to back up your story. That's apples and oranges.

Excuse my negligence over attending blog matters. Too many sporting events, too little time.
The phrase you quoted is a figurative speech, not a factual account of how many offers has been put on the table. To say a young man keep looking at a beautiful girl does not imply how many times a proposal has been made.
As for the Al Davis example, it is not a comparison but a response to your statement on territorial right.
If my 'elusive' writing mislead you into misreading me, please accept my apology.
Blog literature is nothing more than a sports bar on line. If it can stimulate conversation it's goal has been achieved.
