職業球手不好當
以前在美網公開賽採訪時，會有機會與張德培的母親董良因講一點「媽媽經」。那次是在張德培剛贏得法國公開賽之後，問問他們對巴黎美景的感受。張媽嘆了口氣:「什麼美景，連酒店房門都出不敢上跨出去。」球迷在房門外「站岡」，嚇得請酒店警衛在走廊外把關，才擋下那些瘋狂的追求。張媽曾透露，在張德培打青少年網球賽的時候，一次在外國比賽，連換下來的濕衣服都被球迷搶走。
那麼多的球迷來來去去，小張到今天還是單身貴族。
職業運動員的事業與婚姻，比一般人更難找到平衡點。這是不爭的事實!
威廉斯妹妹的桃色新聞不少，但至今沒有開花結果的。比利時網后韓寧(Justine Henin-Hardenne)在澳網大賽前夕，突然宣佈為了私事放棄參賽。今天証實，她已與老公分手（split)。韓寧才24歲，她與Pierre-Yves Hardenne結婚四年。分手的真正原因，沒有公開。只是，想到一個世界級女運動員為了賽事，放下家務四處奔波，若想維繫婚姻，恐怕得比一般人更多花點精神的吧？

Tennis stars prefer to marry a model. To mention a few, Bjorn Borg and Pete Sampras are example. Men wants beautiful woman, period, no if or but. Jimmy Conners married a Playboy bunny. John McEnroe and Andre Agassi first married Hollywood stars ( Tatum O'Neill and Brooke Shields).
Too bad for Michael Chang. He is too down to earth for glamorous women, too religious to open up his feeling, too much of a perfectionist to accept others' shortcomings. Besides, when he is too close to his family, he has no room to experience the outside world.
A professional woman could be too independent. An attractive woman could be possessive and threatening. A traditional woman could be too dull.
Perhaps he should learn from Roger Federer, not in tennis but in choosing a business partner as a girlfriend. Both can share success as well as intimacy. Another example is after Agassi married Stefi Graf he resurrected his tennis career.
We don't know what direction Michael takes on right now. The last time we heard is he might go into ministry. Perhaps he would stay single all his life.
I have a niece who married a minister and she is a doctor. That would be a good fit since both are dedicated to help people. Anyone knows a doctor, a social worker or anyone whose work involves personal sacrifice, please pass that information to Michael.
